Overview
The heritage of Mandarin Oriental's Grill Room is legendary, serving as a testament to the rich tapestry of Hong Kong's cultural narrative. 3812 Gallery takes great pride in being a part of this ongoing story as we present “Orient Reverie,” an art exhibition that seamlessly blends Eastern aesthetics with contemporary interpretations, including various material eg. Ink painting, oil painting, Bronze sculpture, wood installation and drawings.
 
At the heart of this exhibition is a celebration of the oriental and classical elements, meticulously preserved by our carefully selected artists through their diverse artistic practices. Each stroke and hue, whether born from the creative process or manifested in the final masterpiece, embodies a perfect fusion of traditional Eastern origins and contemporary inspirations. This showcase featuring a diverse array of works, delves into transcultural dialogues, echoing the enduring legacy of Mandarin's Grill Room and its storied interiors.
 
Featuring artists Ren Tianjin (b.1962), Yang Yanling (b.1974), Yu Yang (b.1979), Zhao Zhao (b.1982), Chloe Ho (b.1987), Joanne Chan (b.1992), Thomas Ngan (b.1995), "Orient Reverie" serve as a catalyst to inspire reflection, dialogue, and a deepened appreciation for the intricate dance between tradition and innovation.
