The Colours of Ch’an

“The Colours of Ch’an”, on view at the Musée National des Arts Asiatiques – Guimet from 13 March to 3 June 2019, exhibits a body of work that illustrates Hsiao Chin’s artistic developments and displays his passion for modern art and abstraction. After co-founding the Italian art group Punto, Hsaio Chin went on to explore, and draw upon, abstract expressionism in the USA and the spiritual performance painting of the Gutai Group in Japan. Today, his work affords a unique, radiant example of colourful abstraction.
