Contemporary British Sculptor
Graduated from the Sculpture Department of Royal College of Art in 1987, Ann Carrington has since been pushing the definition of sculpture and the limit of her choices of materials. Well known for her ability to transform ordinary everyday objects into extraordinary and stunningly beautiful artworks, Carrington brings attention to and celebrates the everydayness of modern life that is often overlooked in the fast paced society of mass production, revealing the histories and stories hidden behind the mundane objects. The artist has exhibited worldwide and received significant commissions from esteemed private collectors and public institutions, including Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Charles, Victoria and Albert Museum, the United Nation, Royal College of Art, to name a few.
